Elona - Eternal League of Nefia

-Elona is a Japanese Freeware, Life Simulator with Dungeon Crawling a-la Roguelike (oh right the game is translated in english, but the uploader dosn't work). On the life simulator front, you own your own home which at the start happens to be a cave, but you can custommize it how you see fit and buy funiture, and other things to put in your home. You also get a bi-monthly salary and a monthly tax that you have to pay, and if you need extra money you can do part time jobs in cities, such as hunting monsters, or delivering things. Another way to make money is to increase your monthly salary via fighting in the arena or send your pets to fight in an arena, finish off the boss of a dungeon, and vote about every 7 days on an online in-game poll.
-On to the roguelike aspect of the game, unlike most roguelikes this game lets you respawn when you die, and well some aspects of the game are rather BS to say the least, like paralysis (if you don't have immunity and its a one on one fight, your boned), dim (this ailment pretty much makes you a sitting duck), and the bloody breath weapons that always hits and always deal a nice huge chunk of your life, but you can avoid those with the proper gear. The other roguelike things are still there too, such as gear for every slot (plus waist, and like in D&D bows are hax since you can have an enchanted bow AND ammo). You've got your standard wands (Rods), scrolls, potions (lots of them), a god to worship (they've got quite the personalities themselves), artifacts (LEEET'S RAGNAROK!), and pets. You also need food and sleep, and sleeping can be good or bad depending on your luck (with the RNG). One of the things that is differnt from other roguelikes is that when you learn a spell, instead of forgetting it, you get a "stock" which is increased by reading books, so spells in this game is a rather last-ditch last-resort unless you wanna farm spellbooks (which isn't that hard since there is a static-random dungeon that spawns them in rather high ammounts, just don't die).

-Ok my lazness is kicking in so lets give some tips and finish it off. (if you want a better review google it darn it! [elona roguelike])

-When editing your house right click to copy the tile the mouse is on, left click to paste that tile. Enter and Space will bring up tile set. Press shift or esc to exit the edit mode. (the tiles at the half way mark are walls)
-The starting race's specialty skills only add +4 to its total rank so its not really useful so go for a race with nice starting abbilities (like the Juere who dosn't have to eat as much)
-The starting classes do give large bonus to skills (although it might be hard in the begining I suggest the pianist since they get the extreamly useful skill "Weight Lifting" which increases your max carry rate)
-For feats I suggest getting atleast the Drain Blood or Poison Nail since they always hit, making them good finishers or to use on hard to hit enemies.
-Beware of fountains, chances are they'll kill your pets, so quaff them out of existance (if you dare) or you can dip a cursed potion in them to dry them up. The holy well on the other hand is really useful and refills its self on the first day of even months.
-Shelters are really important things to have in your home! because Etherwind always happens in the first 10 days of every 3rd month, if you can buy a skill book from the magic vendors to help pass the time.
-Grenades make great, great early weapons, but you need to be careful as you might acedentally kill your pet (so target after each throw so you know where its going to land!)
-Upgrading your house or buying deeds (for things like farms and ranches) cost alot so don't take the money out of your salary box! as dieing will cause you to lose alot of your money and having large ammounts of cash will increase your tax, and kitty banks (the only way to store money in this game) are hard to find.
-Another note is that your level and fame incease the difficulty of monsters, so if your fame gets too high fail some instant part-time jobs like Hunting, Party Time, and Harvesting as dieing and failing those has no penaties (meaning you won't lose money/gear) but losing fame, "I want it!" and "Birthday" are also no penalties but take time for expire and the part-time jobs are limited. Fame also increases your tax by 1 for 1. To lower your level (you can't get more feats this way) is to drink an uncursed potion of descent (blessed will gain a level and cursed will lower your stats)
-A way to increase your money with out increasing fame is to go to the Port Town and buy Inner Tubes and take them to the starting town for a pretty good profit margin (they're light and that reduces the chance of getting raided)
-The first skill you want to buy is Sense Quality which lets you know if the item is good or not faster, since equipment dosn't sell for much in this game so you might as well carry around equipment that is Great, Miracle, Godly, and Special as those are the most useful.
-Monster Parts (bones, skins, ect) sell for alot but you need to identify its type atleast once (ie. identify one skin and all other skins will sell for their max price)
-The Wishes on the Wikia are "Truths hidden behind lies" (such as wishing for "skilleye" will get you a random skill of "Heavy Armor" "Sense Quality" or "Eye of mind", but wishing for "skilleyemind" will net you a 100% chance of getting the "Eye of Mind" skill)
